The foundation of a good night's sleep
Protect-A-Bed was founded in 1978 by David Kaplan and Murray McLeod.
Inspired by a practical need (Murray's daughter's nighttime accident!), the company pioneered the world's first waterproof mattress protector in 1984.
Today, mattress protection remains a cornerstone of a healthy sleep environment, safeguarding mattresses from stains and allergens, ultimately benefiting your health and well-being.
From the (bed) base to the top
Committed to enhancing sleep quality, we've expanded beyond mattress protection to offer a complete top-of-bed range, including sheets, pillows, and quilts.
Recognising the need for a broader brand identity, we founded Sleep Corp®.
Sleep Corp® brands include Protect-A-Bed®, Opossum™, Moonshadow™, Thermocool®, and Buddies® brands - all available in major Australian and New Zealand retailers and online. Airley®, the newest member of the Sleep Corp family, is based in the United States.
