We're thrilled to share some exciting news — Sleep Corp® has been nominated for the Innovation Award at the Sustainability Tracker Impact Awards 2026.
The Innovation Award recognises organisations developing new approaches to sustainability that go beyond what the industry currently offers. For us, this nomination is the result of deliberate, ongoing choices to do things differently:
-
Plant-based protection — We use Fresche®, a plant-based antimicrobial technology that is naturally safe and harmless to the environment across its entire life cycle, and exclusive to our category.
-
Sustainable packaging — The majority of our packaging has transitioned to 100% recyclable cardboard made from at least 50% recycled materials, earning us a Beyond Best Practice rating from APCO.
-
Solar-powered operations — Our Melbourne facility is solar-powered and robot-assisted, reducing our environmental footprint at the source.
-
Recycling innovation — We're actively participating in the Australian Bedding Stewardship Council's Top-of-Bed Working Group, helping develop first-of-its-kind recycling infrastructure for products that currently have no end-of-life solution.
This nomination belongs to our entire team, the people who make these commitments real every day. We've always believed that sustainability isn't a destination; it's a continuous journey of improvement and innovation.
Finalists will be announced in September 2026, with winners revealed at a live awards event in Sydney in November. Stay tuned and wish us luck!
